William C. Nelson of Boulder died on March 5, 2017 at TRU Hospice of Boulder. He was 84.
A 60-year resident of Boulder, Bill was born on December 22, 1932 to Carl A. and Gertrude Eisler Nelson in Illinois. He married Stephanie Rose Allen in Cozad, NE on October 9, 1955, after honorable discharge from the US Army, in which he served as a Specialist Third Class in Korea for two years.
Bill was self-employed as a florist. He owned Nelson’s Flowers and Lehrer’s Flowers in Denver, and was a volunteer FTD florist.
Predeceased by his parents, Bill is survived by his wife Stephanie, of Boulder; son Mark Nelson, of Stillwater, NY; daughter Joy (Kelly) Zane of Flower Mound, TX; and grandson Benjamin Nelson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 10, at 11:00 AM, at Mountain View Cemetery, 3016 Kalmia Ave., Boulder, CO 80304.
