William Cameron “Bill” Miller, of Boulder, Colorado died on July 12, 2015
at home.
Bill was born in St. Matthews, Kentucky to Fred and Marliss Miller on March 9, 1924. He completed high school in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and then served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Electrical Engineering he married Lois Cronkwright and began his 35 year career with the IBM Corp.. The couple lived in Endicott, New York for 13 years, and then moved to Boulder where they have been residing for more than 50 years.
During his time with IBM Bill became a Senior Engineer, working primarily in the Development Engineering area. After retirement, he taught Engineering Management at the University of Colorado for 14 years.
Bill was active in many areas of the community. Over several decades Bill volunteered his time with Safe House, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, the Boy Scouts of America, Chinook Club House, and the American Indian Science & Engineering Society.
Bill is survived by his sons, William C. Miller, Jr. and spouse Karen of Berthoud, CO, Joseph W. Miller and spouse Becky of Bandon, OR, his daughter Lynne A. Miller of Boulder, his two grandchildren, Kristin Wood and Adam Miller, and two great-grandchildren. His son, Thomas L. Miller, preceded Bill in death.
