Ruth Hoff

Ruth Elaine Hoff, 84, of Longmont, formerly of Los Alamitos, CA, died on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at TRU Community Care in Louisville. Private family services were held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield, CA on June 1, 2013. Ruth was born on December 9, 1928 in Worthing, South Dakota to Andrew Gilbert and Nora Adeline (Ness) Anderson. She attended Worthing High School. Ruth married Victor Paul Hoff in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on August 31, 1947. She was a bookkeeper for various companies but worked primarily for family business. Ruth is survived by her sons Ronald Hoff (Cristina) of San Quintin, B.C. and John Hoff (Connie) of Wisconsin; daughters Joan Grunzweig (Ron) of Longmont, CO and Katherine Fahy (Gary) of Bakersfield, CA; brothers Jack Anderson (Vicky) of Canton, SD and Richard Anderson (Mary) of Winterset, IA; sister Islo Leccesi (Joe) of Beach Park, IL; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Nora Anderson; granddaughter Olivia; sisters Mary Larson and Leora Hoare; brother Robert Anderson and husband Victor Hoff.
