Rodger Lee Pfeiffer, 83, entered into Heaven on December 7, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Albert and Eleanor (Strauss) Pfeiffer on March 12, 1938. He attended school in Cleveland and later received a master's degree in management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He married Shirley Spacek on December 9, 1966 in Sacramento, California and together they raised 4 children. Rodger proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, working in communications and engineering before retiring as a Master Sergeant in Colorado. His subsequent occupations included contracting jobs overseas and working as a self-employed handyman in his later years. He enjoyed reading, playing games, doing puzzles, and spending time with his grandchildren. He had an anecdote for every occasion. Rodger is survived by his wife Shirley, son Frederick Pfeiffer (Tammy) of Loveland, CO, son Gordon Pfeiffer (Alicia) of Broomfield, CO, daughter Joy Donaldson (Jim) of Frederick, CO and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Meyer, a brother, Joseph Pfeiffer, and a son, Eric Pfeiffer. Graveside services will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO with Chaplain Mark Langness officiating.
