Robert “Bob” Davies Snow, 82, passed away April 24th, 2017.
Born on May 30th, 1934 in Aurora, IL to parents Stanley Snow and Mary Davies Snow, Bob graduated from West Aurora High School (IL), then went on to earn a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Bob married Elmyrta Anderson on June 16th, 1956 in Kaneville, IL. Shortly thereafter, he served with the Army Signal Corps from 1956-58 and was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant. He headed to Indiana University where he earned his MBA. Bob began his career as a financial administrator, working in this capacity for Ball Aerospace, SERI (NREL) and NCAR Upon retiring, he became a certified financial planner. A member of our community since 1960, Bob was a member of Boulder Rotary Club, Order of the Eastern Star, the Masonic Lodge #90, and he served on the national board of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.
A lover of the outdoors, Bob enjoyed skiing, tennis, hiking, and cherished the times attending his grandchildren’s games in various sports. He and Elmyrta traveled the world. At Anthem Ranch, he enjoyed playing pickleball, attending lectures, PAL concerts and meeting new friends at Men's Coffee.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Elmyrta of Broomfield CO; his son, J. Kevin Snow (and wife Kristi) of Highlands Ranch, CO; his daughter, Michelle DiGiore of Tampa, FL; his four grandchildren, Alex DiGiore, Dylan DiGiore, Kori Snow, and Brody Snow.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 13th. The event will take place at Mountain View United Methodist Church, 355 Ponca Place, Boulder, CO 80303.
