Richard Gordon Fisher Jr., died January 19, 2016 at the Denver Hospice at Lowry. A service in celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral located at 1350 Washington St, Denver, CO 80203.
He was born on April 14, 1928 in Denver, CO to Richard G. Fisher Sr. and Florence M. Lipp (Fisher). He married Ann Fisher on September 22, 1961 in Santa Fe, NM. He lived in Denver his entire life. A graduate of the University of Colorado and the University of Colorado Law School with a Juris Doctor degree, he was a proud member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He went on to become a Senior Attorney for the Colorado State Compensation Insurance Fund and retired after 31 years of service.
He is survived by his Spouse Ann Fisher of Denver, Son Richard J. Fisher of Aurora and Daughter-in-law Tammy Campbell of Denver. He is also survived by three Grandsons Eric J. Fisher and Luke A. Fisher of Aurora and Jacob C. Fisher of Denver. He was preceded in death by his Son Andrew J. Fisher and Daughter-in-law Janis Fisher.
Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and devoted friend to all who knew him. Upon retirement, he devoted much of his life to volunteer activities in several areas. He will be greatly missed by all.
