Patti Kepler Vohs passed away July 25 after a 14-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded in love and prayers by her husband Zac Vohs, parents Tom and Barbara Kepler, and her sisters Jennifer Briggs and Lori Prater.
Patti was born in Boulder on Father’s Day, June 17, 1979, during a wild spring storm, announcing her arrival with thunder and lightning.
She attended Boulder's Eisenhower Elementary, Burbank Junior High, and Fairview High School. At Fairview she was involved in band, swimming, track, and many other clubs and groups. She attended University of Kansas and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. Children always adored Patti, and she was a well-loved teacher at the Tiny Tim Center in Longmont, and later at Kumon Learning Centers.
In her youth, Patti attended Atonement Lutheran Church in Boulder, where she was involved in Sunday School as student and teacher, choirs, and youth groups. She was lost way too soon, but in her 39 years, she was deeply loved and touched many hearts.
A service in celebration of Patti's life will be held on Sunday, August 12, at 6:30 PM at Flagstaff Sunrise Amphitheater, 1198 Flagstaff Drive, Boulder, CO 80302.
