Ollie Z. Pedersen, 88, of Boulder, passed away at TRU Community Care Hospice, Louisville, on August 19, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., at the East Boulder Baptist Church, 7690 E. Baseline Rd, Boulder, with reception following. A private burial will take place at the Craig Cemetery, CO.
She was born October 12, 1925 to Vern Merle Chrisman and Bessie DeGraff, in Stager, Michigan. Ollie was one of fourteen children raised on a farm in Niagara, WI. She graduated from high school at the age of 16, moving to Milwaukee, WI, where she met her husband, Richard V. Pedersen, a WWII U.S. Army Air Corps Navigator.
They married July 7, 1945, moving to Denver, CO in 1946. Moving to Craig, CO in 1970, she worked for the County Clerk and Recorder’s office. In 2003, she moved to Boulder to live with her daughter, Cheryl Link.
Ollie and Richard loved the outdoors, spending time at their cabin, and traveling in their RV. Ollie and Richard where avid snowmobilers and ATV’ers
Ollie was preceded in death by her husband and seven of her siblings. Survivors include her daughters: Cheryl Link, of Boulder; Debbie Strausborger, of North Richland Hills, TX; brothers: Walt Chrisman and Dick Chrisman of Milwaukee, WI; Ray Chrisman, of Niagara, WI; sisters: Joyce Pintar, of Milwaukee, WI; Fran Shout, of Niagara, WI; Vera Craig, of Littleton, CO; grandchildren: Jason Busch, Kristen Busch, Demara Morrow; and great-grandchildren: Ryan Smith, Connor Morrow, and Chiara Busch.
