O. C. Hammit, 90 of Boulder, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Tru Community Care Hospice in Louisville, CO
O. C. was born to Robert Lee Hammit and Aural Florence Hopkins on October 27, 1923 in Dalhart, Texas. He married Wilma Parrish on April 19, 1946 in Carey, Texas. They have been married for 68 years.
O. C. was a United States Marine from 1942 till 1946 and was in the South Pacific during World War II.
O. C. worked at Rocky Flats, as a vender / inspector from 1957 to 1986. He started his own mowing business which he ran from 1987 to 2007. He was a member of the East Boulder Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Parrish Hammit of Boulder; daughters, Sharon Hammit Miles of Broomfield and Carla Hammit (Harry) Rickelman of Westminster. Survivors include grandchildren, Kristin Miles (Rod) Dutcher of Broomfield, and Korri Miles (Phil) Loomans of Eagle, and great grandchildren, Skyler Hammit Dutcher of Broomfield, and Hayden Richard Loomans of Eagle.
