Mary ‘Karen’ Watts, a long-time resident of Boulder and Louisville passed away Satur-day, Nov. 27, 2021 at Flatirons Heath, from complications of a stroke.
Karen was born Oct. 7, 1935, in Cobden, IL to Mary Catherine Ehrhard and August Ev-erett Reichert. She married Jack Watts on November 6, 1975 in Boulder.
Karen attended grades 1-8 at Shamrock School and graduated high school at Mount St. Gertrude Academy in Boulder. She then devoted 37-years at Norlin Library in the technical services department as a cataloger.
A long-time member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Karen spent her retire-ment years cataloguing and documenting genealogies for the church. She enjoyed spending time with family, and collected extensive genealogical records and photo-graphs of family history.
She is survived by four siblings, Ron Reichert and Beth Payne of Boulder, Chuck Reichert of Meeker, and John Reichert of Rifle, many nieces, nephews, and step-family members.
Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 10:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 A.M. on Monday December 27, 2021, at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 S Boulder Rd #101, Boulder, CO 80303.
