Mary K Edwards Warwick

Mary K. Edwards Warwick, 80, died at home in Boulder, CO on October 9, 2015 of natural causes. She was born June 16, 1935 in Dearborn, MI, as the youngest of three to Ted and Marie (Bockenberger) Beauregard. She graduated from high school in Dearborn, MI and received a B.A in Marketing and Finance from the University of Colorado in 1977. She married David Edwards in 1955. They had three sons before divorcing in 1973. In 1983 she married Robert Warwick, they lived happily together for 25 wonderful years. Mary K. was raised in the Dearborn area in her early life and had her children there. In 1962 the family moved to Germany for four years while David was in the military. Once back in the United States in 1971, the family moved to Pittsburgh, PA, then Cherry Creek, CO and finally settled in Boulder, CO. She was a full-time mother and grandmother for much of her life, but she also worked at several Boulder-area companies in marketing during the 1970s and 1980s. Mary K. settled into a retired lifestyle with Bob, full of family, friends, and travel. During retirement she volunteered at the Boulder Safehouse for many years and was active in supporting the local arts with her friend, Meredith. Mary K. will be remembered for her enormous heart. The love, care, and support she provided her children, grandchildren and family were unparalleled; yet she also touched the lives of countless other people during her entire life, embracing and caring for them all. Thus, the list of those by whom she is beloved is so lengthy it almost defies comprehension. She is survived by her three sons; Kevin, Scott and Chris Edwards; her cherished grandchildren Aleah, Jenna, Christopher, Nathan, Shane, Angela, Clayton, Shanna, and Russ; in-laws Karen, Tiffany, Bob and Rosayn Warwick, and Cheri and Phil Quigley; cousins Judy, Becky, Mark, and Debbie Hassler; and dear friends Mardy Dolan and Syb Black. Mary K. was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and beloved husband, Robert. A service in celebration of Mary K.’s life will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Rembrandt Yard, 1301 Spruce St, Boulder, CO 80302 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. A reception will follow the service from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Relatives, friends, and those whose life she touched are welcome. The book we created a few years ago celebrating Mary K. will be available at the reception if you care to add a note, picture or both. It seems that the love and care Mary K. poured into others came back to comfort her in the end.
