Marilyn Kraus died peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Frasier Meadows; she was 91. Originally from North Dakota, Marilyn earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and then studied physical therapy at Harvard Medical School. In 1949 she married Walter Kraus in Santa Monica, CA, and they settled in New Jersey, where she devoted full time to raising a family of 5 children. She later returned to a career in physical therapy, and became an accomplished artist who often exhibited her oil paintings.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her daughter Anne. She is survived by 4 children: daughters Mary (David Uhlir) and Barbara (Steve Carnes) of Boulder; sons James of New Jersey and Robert (Philippa Dunne) of New York; and 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen
McKay, of Utah.
