Margaret Condon Grupp died on March 10, 2018. She was 99 years old.
Born in Oneida County, New York to Thomas and Anna Condon, she had lived in Boulder since 1955.
Margaret was married in 1947 to Daniel Grupp who died in 1977. Margaret and Dan had four daughters - Ann, Cathleen, Mary and Lucy, and three sons - Martin, Robert and Richard. There are 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
A graduate of D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York, Margaret proudly served as a medical technician in the Navy WAVES during World War II.
An active and devoted member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish she participated in the Altar and Rosary Society, the Quilt Making Group and the Funeral Lunch Ministry as well as attended daily Mass into her early 90s. Margaret volunteered for many years at EFAA (Emergency Family Assistance Association) and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year.
On Wednesday, September 5 from 2 to 4 pm, a gathering for family and friends to share stories and memories and to honor the life of Margaret will be held in the Missions House Lodge on the corner of Wild Rose Road and Primrose Road across from the Waterwise Garden at Chautauqua in Boulder, 900 Baseline Road.
