Louise Sharon Christopher of Erie died Feb. 28, 2022 at Boulder Community Health Foothills Hospital. She was 76. Louise was outstanding at creating relationships, excellent at communication and passionate about the arts nonprofits where she made her career. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. "We are heartbroken to lose our beautiful Louise," her family said. "We will miss her always." She was born Jan. 22, 1946 in Denver to Arthur Berquist and Della Peterson Berquist. After graduating from Denver South High School in 1964, Louise took a degree in business from Colorado State University in 1966. She married Stephen Christopher on Aug. 21, 1966 in Denver. The couple had three children. Louise excelled during her many years working in development for the Colorado Music Festival and the Center for Musical Arts in Lafayette. She is survived by her husband Stephen of Erie; daughter Staci Barden and her husband John of Arvada; daughter Shantel Mattis and her husband Mike of Boulder; son Cheston Christopher of Costa Mesa, Calif.; four grandsons, Keelan, Tory, Avery and Zachary; and one granddaughter, Liza Grace. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 4 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1419 Pine St. in Boulder, the Revs. Susan Springer and Ted Howard officiating.
