Kyle Benjamin Adams was born on December 11, 1986 and died on June 16, 2015 at home in his mother’s arms, with his Aunt and close friends by his side. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Adams, Grandfathers Walter Jessel and Albert Adams; and Grandmother Cynthia Jessel. He is survived by his grandmother Shirley Adams, Uncles Alfred and Robert Jessel, Aunt Barb Kottmann, Wally Adams, and cousins. He is also survived by his mom, Peggy Jessel.
A tribute to Kyle’s life will be held on July 2 at 10:30 a.m. at E-Town Hall; 1535 Spruce St, Boulder, CO 80302.
Kyle was born in Boulder and graduated from Monarch High School in 2005. Kyle attended Fort Lewis College, majoring in Environmental Policy. He was an avid hockey player, and played on the Peak to Peak High School State Championship Team in 2005, and for Fort Lewis and recreational teams during and after his college years.
Kyle loved the mountains, rivers and canyons and lived in Durango for ten years. He was a skilled outdoor guide and backpacker, and found peace, beauty and strength in every wild place. Kyle was witty, gentle, compassionate and generous.
