Joyce Walters Laughlin was born to Helen F. Walters and Francis E. Walters on April 22, 1927 in Mishawaka, Indiana. A world traveler, Joyce enjoyed any party, adventure, antique, book and bridge hand that came her way.
Joyce graduated with honors from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana. She married A.C. Laughlin in September 1947. Joyce loved being a mother to her twin daughters.
Moving 27 times in her life she created an amazing home wherever she lived. We know her final move is into the arms of her heavenly father and savior, Jesus Christ.
She would enjoy being remembered as a teacher in Alaska in 1953 where she had a playground stand-off with a moose, and lived to tell about it. She also liked to reminisce about getting arrested on the Great Wall of China for smoking in 1986.
Joyce is survived by a loving and grateful family including her twins-Susan Carson and Jane Laughlin Citarella; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
