John Morse, 78, died peacefully in his sleep on January 25, 2015, from complications of Lewy Body Dementia. He had spent the day surrounded by his loving family.
A reception honoring John will be held in March in the Seattle area.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Susan, two fine sons, Paul Morse and Aaron Morse, three extraordinary grandchildren, Chloe, Carter, and Beanie, and his devoted brothers, Matt Morse and Vince Morse.
John lived by the credo “It’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” John enjoyed a successful 36 year career in sales at Richfield Oil/Atlantic Richfield Company, where he made many life-long friends. He led an active life that included sailing, skiing, hunting, river rafting and traveling. He loved dancing, music (Cajun, blues & disco), bad jokes, and good food and wine. At age 57 John took up bike riding and over the next 13 years participated in group rides across Alaska, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa and California. He was a tireless volunteer for many organizations. He especially loved his work at the Marymoor Dog Park. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
