Jeanne K. Duffy-Meyers, 89, a resident of Louisville, and a former longtime resident of Boulder died Tues. August 20, 2013 at the Balfour Retirement Community in Louisville.
On Monday, August 26, 2013 a visitation with the family present will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 3300 Table Mesa Drive in Boulder. Burial will take place following the service at Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th Street in Boulder.
A reception at the Hotel Boulderado, 2115 13th Street, Boulder, will follow burial.
Jeanne was born October 4, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward J. & Loretto B. (Crowley) Duffy, and married Russell W. Meyers in Evanston, Illinois on December 27th, 1952. Jeanne then went on to become a Registered Nurse and gave back to the community through her work as the Director of Volunteers at Wardenburg Student Health Center and Boulder Community Hospital.
Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Merilee (Rob) Refvem of Centennial, CO; son, John M. (Debbie) Meyers of Aurora, CO; brother, Jerome L. (Joan Frances) Duffy of Northfield IL.; sister, June Duffy of Brooklyn, NY.
