Jean C. Haywood Jean C. Haywood, of Boulder Colorado, passed away at age 86 on November 2nd in her apartment at Frasier Meadows. A Memorial Service will be held at Frasier Meadows Retirement Community, 350 Ponca Place Boulder, Phillips Chapel 4th floor, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Jean was born in Beloit, Wisconsin to Earl and Florence Caskey. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, after which she worked in Milwaukee and spent three years working for the US Army in Germany. She lived in Evanston, Illinois married to Paul Haywood for her family and career years, employed in fund raising and development. After retirement, Jean moved from Evanston to Boulder, Colorado. In both Evanston and Boulder, Jean was an active member and leader within the Unitarian Universalist Churches and the League of Women Voters. Jean is survived by her son, John Haywood of Boulder, Colorado; her daughter, Lynne Haywood of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters Mary King of Lombard, Illinois and Anne Harrington of Madison, Wisconsin. Jean loved travel, hiking in the mountains, discussing world affairs, and her two children, John and Lynne. Friends and family members will dearly miss spending time with her. Memorial gifts can be made to either Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Lafayette, CO; or the Nature Conservancy Colorado Division in Boulder, CO.
