Eric Arthur Johnson passed away in his Englewood home on May 12th, 2015 from carbon monoxide poisoning and smoke inhalation. He was 51.
Born August 11th, 1963 in St. Paul, MN to Philip Arthur Johnson and Mary Ann Helen Haagenson Johnson, Eric graduated from Heritage High School (Littleton, CO) in 1981. He then went on to become a Tool and Dye Designer and lived his adult life in the areas of Aspen, Carbondale, Basalt and Glenwood Springs before relocating to the Denver/Boulder area in 2014. Eric worked for Alpine Ace Hardware from 1993-2010 and George Sanders Plumbing from 2011-2014. In his free time, Eric enjoyed hiking, camping, nature photography, and woodworking, especially creating original log furniture.
Eric is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Johnson of Lafayette, CO, as well as his five sisters, Kari Johnson Scambos of Lafayette, CO, Kim Johnson Valley of Rio Rancho, NM, Cindy Johnson of Mt. Zion, IL, Nancy Jonson of Denver, CO, and Lois Johnson of Carbondale, CO. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Johnson, and his grandparents, Florence Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Bennie Haagenson and Helen Haagenson.
