Charles William "Chuckie" Alderson

Charles William Alderson, of Louisville, CO, passed away at home on April 3rd, 2024. He was 53.

He was born March 8th, 1971, in Boulder, CO to parents John Charles Alderson and Louise Marie Hubbard Alderson. Charles grew up in the city of his birth and graduated from Boulder High School with the class of 1989. Charles had a passion for golf and furthered his education earning his certification from the Professional Golfers’ Association. He worked as a club professional and instructor until 2005, notably at the local courses of Ute Creek and Lake Valley. With his expertise in course design and playability, Charles was in charge of traveling all over Colorado to establish official ratings for dozens of courses. Simultaneously, he worked as a plumber with Steinley Heating and Plumbing for over 30 years. Golf in the summer, plumbing in the winter.

Charles married Christina Linn Humphrey on August 8th, 2008 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He had a contagious laugh that lit up a room and a sense of humor to complement his goofy personality. He did everything with perfection and was determined to be the best at anything he tried. His family cherished his compassion and his willingness to lend a hand.

In addition to golf, Charles loved fishing and cooking. He excelled in the kitchen, considered an in-home chef by his family. A devotee of cars, Charles’ dreamed of being behind the wheel of a 1969 Shelby Cobra.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Alderson, and his father, John Alderson. He is survived by his wife, Christina Linn Alderson (Louisville, CO); his daughters, Sierrah Pinney (Ridgway, CO), and Caelin Lesser (Evans, CO); his sisters, Angela Alderson Oakley (Centennial, CO), and Michelle Alderson Nelson (Centennial, CO). Charles also had two grandchildren, with two more on the way.

A Celebration of Life will occur on Thursday, August 8th (6:00 pm to 9:00 pm) at the Coal Creek Golf Course (585 W. Dillon Road, Louisville CO 80027). In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in his honor to The Mental Health Partners of Boulder County.
