Catherine Bertram

Catherine T. Bertram, 64, died at home of natural causes on November 6, 2013. She was born October 16, 1949 in Chicago, to William Louis Bertram and Colleen Hope Bridie Bertram. She attended Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Ill. and graduated from North Central College in Lisle, Ill. with a BA in music. She went on to earn an MBA. Cathy worked as a director at Ball Aerospace in Boulder for more than 30 years until she retired. She and her husband Jeffrey, a life-long Boulder resident, were together for 23 years. She loved music, especially playing the piano and singing, photography and the outdoors. She was also supportive of many charitable causes. Cathy is survived by her husband Jeffrey Thornton of Boulder; her sister Claudia Bouck of Mokena, Ill.; two nieces, Colleen Norling and her husband Jonathan of Eagle and Erin Gutierrez and her husband Steven of Plainfield, Ill.; and three grand-nieces and two grand-nephews.
