Carol Jean Randall, of Louisville, died August 17, 2013 at Tru Community Care Center. She was 68.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August, 22, 2013, at St Andrew Presbyterian Church, 3700 Baseline Road, Boulder. A reception will follow the service at the Church.
Carol was a very energetic, giving, fun, loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Wife. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on August 10, 1945 to Horace W. and Virginia (Shores) Randall. Later moving to Boulder, Carol graduated from Fairview High School and then the University of Colorado with a degree in Music Education.
Carol went on to teach for 24 years at Foothill Elementary in Boulder. She was a member, Deacon and Handbell Director at St. Andrews Church in Boulder for 22 years. Carol hosted several Japanese foreign exchange students throughout the years. She loved the mountains, picnics and hiking. She also made many quilts and was very generous giving them to anybody who was having a baby or simply just wanted one.
She married Michael Goss on December 26, 1987 and lived in Louisville, Colorado with their two standard poodles, Latte and Rachie.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Goss of Louisville; a son, Martin Kirchoff of New York City; a daughter, Patricia Osborne of Raleigh, North Carolina; her step children, Christine Gill, Kim Osborne, John Goss, Patricia Atkins, and Shelly Penny; and Grandsons, Marsden Roosevelt Kirchoff and Troy Thomas Adkins.
