Betty J. Begin of Boulder died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at her residence at Bella Vista. She was 77.
A private family memorial service will be held.
Betty was born February 9, 1939 to George and Virginia Lorraine (Westfall) Jones of Cleveland, OH. She graduated from Mentor High School in Mentor, OH.
On March 27, 1966 Betty married Robert Begin in Cleveland, OH. Together they moved from Ohio to New Mexico and then Colorado where Betty has been a resident for 18 years. Robert preceded her in death on May 4, 2002.
Betty spent the majority of her career as a homemaker, however, she was an administrative assistant for Stahmann Farms in La Mesa, NM as well as for White Sands Missile Range in Alamogordo, NM and for the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center in Cleveland, OH.
One of Betty’s favorite sayings was “you create your own reality”. She created a reality of living a loving, honorable and rich life full of adventure, laughter and deep friendships.
Survivors include; her three sons Scott Begin of Allen, TX, Brad Begin of Boulder, Greg Begin of Palm Springs, CA, her daughter Laura Vial of Broomfield and six grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her brothers Don Jones of Canon City, CO, David Jones of Columbus, Ohio and Tom Jones of Wichita Falls, TX.
