Bertha Ann Fisher, 87-year resident of Denver entered Heaven on January 15, 2022, she was 98. Ann was born in Jerseyville, IL to Everett Sr. and Anna (Coyle) Alexander on July 14, 1923. She attended Denver South High School and went on to obtain an Associate Degree from Colorado Women’s College.
On September 22, 1961, Ann married Richard G. Fisher Jr. in Santa Fe, NM. They were married for 55 years until Richard’s death in 2016.
Ann worked as a Legal Secretary in the Denver City Attorney’s Office for 10 years as well as a Paraprofessional for over 12 years. However, Ann’s greatest life's work was being a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Much of Ann’s life was devoted to volunteer activities at public schools, local food banks, homeless shelters, and her church. Ann was a longtime and dedicated member of St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral in Denver.
Ann found great joy from her time and experiences traveling throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas to Europe and Australia. She was also an avid reader throughout her life. Ann was a devoted fan of the Broncos, Rockies, and the CU Buffaloes.
Ann is survived by her son; Richard J. Fisher (Aurora, CO); grandsons Eric J. Fisher (Aurora, CO), Luke A. Fisher (Denver, CO), Jacob C. Fisher (Denver, CO); and daughter-in-law Tammy Campbell (Denver, CO).
Ann was preceded in death by; her brother, Everett Alexander; sister-in-law, Joyce Alexander; her son, Andrew J. Fisher; and daughter-in-law, Janis E. Fisher.
A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Cathedral, 1350 N Washington St, Denver, CO 80203.
